i've sent off SD's rough draft to the printers, which is exciting and relieving a lot of pressure. i'll feel like a million bucks when i finish this first issue!

i just bought the recent issue of selvedge magazine. inspiring as always....

I love working with Bamboo. I have a couple projects in the line-up right now using the silky-feeling fiber. This is another yarn by Classic Elite. I love this orange! Although, the garment I'm swatching for will be made with Henna.

issue one: away/japan is still in development. getting closer to my 2nd photo shoot for the issue...maybe this sunday if i can get my swatches swatched. i've been rummaging through my souvenirs for inspiration.

surprisingly, my first post here is about printed fabric swatches, rather than knit swatches. right now i'm just playing around with some shapes i copied the other day onto acetate. it's fun to think about how i'll burn the screen for printing. it's also fun to notice that i still draw the same as when i was in high school! what the heck...
