I made this swatch about 5 years ago and I keep coming back to these friendly stitches. I think a hat?

The wool is from Norway, where we went on our honeymoon—5 years ago! Time sure feels like it is getting away from me. It's so hard to believe we have been married for that long. But a lot has happened (like a 2.5 year old kiddo!). Looking forward to what the next 5 bring...and beyond.

I never think about mixing white with bronze or golden colours, but I definitely should !

Beautiful! We wanted to go to Norway so badly for our honeymoon. We ended up going to Duluth, MN (which is a gorgeous place to go anyway but not exactly Norway). For our 10 year we thought we went to Hawaii because I didn't want to leave the country with our 4 kids at home with the grandparents. (That was last year.) I think our 20 year will be Norway. We still dream of going there.

Beautiful swatch!

I love these colors together, Madeleine. They make me smile.
:)

Norway was lovely, Gretchen--and so was Sweden. We spent a few wonderful days there as well. Would love to go back someday! Maybe for our 20 year, too.

that would make the prettiest hat. you are still honeymooners, happy 5 year anniversary!
my family (on my fathers side) is from norway and sweden. i've always wanted to go and somehow still haven't! someday!

yes, definitely--i still feel like we are newlyweds!
todd's family is from norway, so he had wanted to go for a long time. he didn't have to ask me twice! i was excited for the trip. i'm so glad we went, for i think it may be a long, long time before we can travel overseas again.
