I finally cast on for Imogen's fair isle pullover. Though this sweater was fun to design, I'm excited for it to become 3D--out of my head and onto the needles.
On a different note, if anyone in the Portland, ME area wants to learn to knit, you can take classes from my lovely friend and co-worker, Jerusha Robinson, at the Gathering of Stitches. First sweater class anyone?
( I signed up for one of the silk screening classes! )

Making something for Imogen, hopefully in time for her first day of school next week. It involves a zipper (boo), so I need help. Lucky for me, my mother-in-law is a fantastic sewer.
I'm still working on Immie's ice cream dress, but I've been very indecisive about the contrasting color fabric. Oh decisions.

fawn hoodie & leggies
I just received my copy of Taproot: Issue 7, GATHER yesterday! Aww....I'm so happy to see my babe on the pages. Photographed this past November on the very last bearable day to be outside without a coat.
The hoodie is a quick knit, made in Quince & Co. Puffin. I'm smitten with these colors together—twig, chanterelle, and clay. I think it'd be lovely with bird's egg swapped out for clay if you are knitting for a little lad (or nix the color block and pick just one color). Also, as a bonus, the sweater is sized from 3 months to 12 years—Fawn hoodies for everyone!
Oh, I almost forgot about the legwarmers made in Chickadee. Added warmth for fall and winter, these leggies were well worn by Immie last year. Looking forward to getting those out again soon for it is getting chilly here at night! Fall is coming...
You can see more info about these projects on Ravelry. You can purchase the issue here (there's lots of fantastic content in this issue, as always).

I made this swatch about 5 years ago and I keep coming back to these friendly stitches. I think a hat?
The wool is from Norway, where we went on our honeymoon—5 years ago! Time sure feels like it is getting away from me. It's so hard to believe we have been married for that long. But a lot has happened (like a 2.5 year old kiddo!). Looking forward to what the next 5 bring...and beyond.
