Well, my devotion to garter stitch continues in my new pattern, Miriam. Strange how this cardi looks a lot like my December booties, huh? Well, I guess I inspired myself with gray, garter stitch. Heehee.
I fancy this cardi because it is easy to knit and easy to wear. And, it was knit with Kumlien's Gull—a favorite heathers shade of mine.

It really is simply beautiful. When my Christmas and early year birthday makings are out of the way, this is on my list.

It is beautiful - and looks so comfortable.
How much ease to you recomend?
It is shown with about 1.5" of negative ease. But, I think zero ease is best. But, plus or minus an inch is fine, too. This sweater seems to allow a little flexibility in the ease department.

I am a novice knitter but LOVE this cardi!!! Garter stitch. Grey. Drool.

You need to be able to cast on, work stockinette stitch and garter stitch, decrease, and pick up stitches. If you can do those things (or would like to learn some new skills) you can make this cardigan. Raglan styles are great for beginner knitters.
Oh, and you need to be able to seam the sleeves. Hope you give it a whirl!
