I know I am supposed to be knitting Immie's fair isle sweater, but somehow I got it in my head that I needed to make her a Camilla Kid in petal/osprey. So I did. Still need to block and weave in ends.
I started knitting this sweater for myself a few months ago. I got so lost when I had to attached the sleeve that I gave up. Now, that i see your beautiful sweater I need go back and try again! :)
oh, i'm usually very slow, too. it's the yarn—osprey—it's so squishy and fun to work with. and that fan pattern gets a bit addictive once you get going... :)
I went to hear Clara Parkes read at a bookstore in San Francisco last week. The store's manager introduced Clara while wearing her own handknit camilla pullover in a pale mint that matched the evening sky out the window.
A lovely evening started off by a lovely sweater sighting.
