Yesterday, Quince launched a little collection, Basics for Babe, that includes 4 knit patterns for baby. The project has been in the works since last year, so I'm excited to have the ebook out in the world now.
If you've been reading this blog you know that last spring my family suffered the terrible loss of my father. Not surprising, it was really hard to get my brain back to a productive place after it happened. Pam was very thoughtful and gave me a lot of time to "heal"and didn't want to rush me. She suggested, kindly, that I work on a project that really spoke to me, whatever I wanted. So, I chose the patterns that are in this ebook—a small grouping of simple, unisex patterns with a gentle palette. It was very therapeutic...all that meditative garter stitch in those soft colors....
Anyway, that's the back story.
Hope you enjoy these teeny tiny knits!

These designs came at a time when our son/daughter in law is going to have a unexpectant baby when he and his Dad is recovering from Cancer. These designs have made me happy to knit again and have such joy in the future.
Thank you for sharing your comment. Love to your healing family,

These are beautiful Carrie, as is the story behind them. In times like those it is best to return to basics to regain our foundations. Sending healing thoughts your way.
thank you so much, jen.
